A lot of handouts have been going home. Here's the gist of some of them:
- HIV lessons
- During LTMovement, students will be learning about HIV. It's primarily about it being a bloodborne illness and how to stay safe around blood (in other words, don't touch it!).
- Wellness Week
- Next week, 5/15 - 5/19, is Wellness Week. Tuesday, May 16th, is Family Dinner Night. It is at 6 PM. Be sure to RSVP. Papers are in the blue folders.
- Parent Meetings
- If you receive a letter, please schedule a time to meet with us on Tuesday, May 16th, between dismissal at 2:40 and 5:00 PM. We want to keep you updated on your child's progress.
- Open Classroom
- From 5 PM - 6 PM on Tuesday, May 16th, there is open classroom time. Feel free to come in during this time if you want to see if your child's work.
This week, NYSELAT testing has started for our English Language Learners. It continues into next week.
On Friday, June 16th, we have Career Day! We are seeking volunteers to come in to talk to 3 - 4 classes about their Career. You are usually paired with another professional and each of you have about 15 minutes to talk about your career. It usually starts around 9 AM and ends by 12 PM. Let us know if you're available to join us as a presenter!
Merry May!
Love,
Ms. Liang
