It's amazing to think that we've already surpassed 100 days of school! I hope that you were able to take a look at some of the amazing projects that students have bought in during Parent Teacher Conferences (PTC).
DonorsChoose.org
With half the year already over, I'm already thinking about what students will remember from their year in Kindergarten. Looking back, I know that school would have been more exciting and interesting had we had real-life photos and examples of children doing what we are teaching them to do.
Thus, came the idea for our DonorsChoose.org project! Our Picture Perfect: Words, Charts, and Memories asks for materials so that we can print photos and put these photos onto our charts and be able to take them home at the end of the school year. As of today, we have less than a month and a half left. Most of the donors have been my friends! (YAY for friends!)
We are 71% done_! ANYTHING you contribute will be met with our sincere thanks and awesome photos of the items in action. If you know anyone who is looking to help our classroom, please share our project.
Thank you!
I am updating Raz-Kids levels to match their guided levels. Students have 2 levels: (#1)/(#2).
- (#1) - their independent reading level
- (#2) - their guided reading level (when they read with teachers)
Raz-Kids is a website where students can read books online!
Each child has a login name and password. Look at the paper that was sent home in October. If you need the log-in information again, let me know.

We have had one session with our resident artist, Ms. Kristine, so far.
Be sure to hand in the green surveys about our school. When you hand in your survey, you will be entered to win movie tickets. The class with the most surveys completed (percentage-wise) will get a pizza party!
Hope all is well,
Ms. Liang
